Microfinance Ireland Progress Report Published

Microfinance Ireland has published a Progress Report covering the 4 years since it’s establishment. The report shows that almost €16Mn in loans have been approved under the Microenterprise Loan Fund, supporting over 2,300 jobs. Almost 80% of loans approved are outside Dublin. (Read More).



David O’Connor of Dungarvan Paints & DIY is one of the many businesses from the south east to have availed of a Microfinance Ireland Loan.

The Microenterprise Loan Fund was established by the Government in 2012 as a subsidiary of Social Finance Foundation, to provide access to finance for microenterprises, in particular those that were finding it difficult to secure funding from the mainstream banks. For more details click:
