Microfinance Ireland Progress Report Published

Microfinance Ireland has published a Progress Report covering the 4 years since it’s establishment. The report shows that almost €16Mn in loans have been approved under the Microenterprise Loan Fund, supporting over 2,300 jobs. Almost 80% of loans approved are outside Dublin. (Read More).

 

 

David O’Connor of Dungarvan Paints & DIY is one of the many businesses from the south east to have availed of a Microfinance Ireland Loan.

The Microenterprise Loan Fund was established by the Government in 2012 as a subsidiary of Social Finance Foundation, to provide access to finance for microenterprises, in particular those that were finding it difficult to secure funding from the mainstream banks.
